Jimmy Kimmel’s bl.ackface scandal has come back to haunt him once again, as Roseanne Barr is questioning why ABC didn’t fire him for it.
Roseanne Barr launched her Hollywood comeback earlier this week when her standup comedy special titled “Cancel This” premiered on Fox Nation.
While promoting the special, she’s pulled no punches when it comes to calling out the Hollywood elites who tried to destroy her career five years ago, and she’s now going after the “woke” late night host Jimmy Kimmel by bringing up his infamous bla.ckface scandal.
Barr Calls Out Kimmel And ABC
In a new interview, Barr pointed out how unfair it was for ABC to immediately fire for posting a tweet that many deemed to be ra/cist, only to continue allowing Kimmel to host a late night show on the network to this day despite his documented history of wearing bla/ckface.
Barr was referring to ABC firing her from her sitcom “Roseanne” in 2018 after she compared the former Barack Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett, who is bl/ack, to a character from Planet of The Apes.
Barr apologized right away and claimed to not know that Jarrett was black, but ABC still wasted no time in getting rid of her by both cancelling her show and kil.ling off her character when it was rebooted as “The Conners.”

Speaking directly to ABC, Barr said, “You should have allowed me go on your other news shows, particularly those ones hosted by people who have done bl.ackface and you never fired them, you should have let me go on there.”
Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend Sarah Silverman, they did blackface and you never even said it is wrong that you did that. And they just let that go,” she added.

Kimmel’s Blackface Scandal
Kimmel infamously wore blackface to portray the NBA legend Karl Malone in at least one sketch on “The Man Show,” which he starred in with Adam Carolla from 1999 until 2003. It took until 2020 for Kimmel to finally issue a groveling apology for this offense that is typically seen as unforgivable in the eyes of the left.
“I have long been reluctant to address this, as I knew doing so would be celebrated as a victory by those who equate apologies with weakness and cheer for leaders who use prejudice to divide us,” he told Deadline at the time.
“That delay was a mistake.
There is nothing more important to me than your respect, and I apologize to those who were genuinely hurt or off.ended by the makeup I wore or the words I spoke.”
“I believe that I have evolved and matured over the last twenty-plus years, and I hope that is evident to anyone who watches my show,” he later added.
“I know that this will not be the last I hear of this and that it will be used again to try to quiet me. I love this country too much to allow that. I won’t be bullied into silence by those who feign outrage to advance their oppressive and genuinely racist agendas.”
Kimmel Whines About Blackface Backlash
In another interview with The Daily Beast that year, Kimmel whined about the “intentions” of the people calling him out for wearing bl.ackface.
“It was coming from the Donald Trump Jr.’s of the world, people who do a tremendous amount of damage to this country in order to elevate themselves and to make themselves famous and to make money,” Kimmel said at the time “And it just seemed like things were taken out of context and I wanted to put them back into context and move past it.”
While a conservative would undoubtedly be cancelled immediately for even being linked to bla.ckface in any way, Kimmel never face any career consequences for dressing up in bla.ckface.
The fact that ABC fired Barr for a simple tweet and has allowed Kimmel to stay on for years despite wearing blackface on camera perfectly displays the shameless double standard of the left in this country.
In the eyes of the liberal world of Hollywood, all can be forgiven, as long as you’re a leftist.
As for conservatives, they can expect to be permanently cancelled for the slightest of infractions.
We applaud Barr for reemerging years later to show Kimmel and the other liberal elites of Hollywood that she’s not just going to go away quietly like they want her to.
